The M4 iPad Pro is a powerhouse. It has a truly gorgeous display with inky blacks and brightness levels that make photos and video more immersive. The tablet itself is almost alarmingly thin and light — it really is noticable. Even the redesigned speakers offer punchy and high-quality sound. No other tablet comes close to the refinement of hardware and software, the array of applications, the quality and usability of the peripherals or the overall power. Few tablets get close to the eye-watering price, either. Watch any reviews of the device on YouTube and you’ll come away with the impression of how impressive this device is. Visit an Apple Store or see one in the wild and you’ll get the idea. As reviews of iPads on The Verge would say many moons ago, ‘it is like Apple is showing off at this point’.
All of this makes the M4 iPad Pro the best tablet on the planet and by some margin. The key word in that last sentence, however, is ‘tablet’. This is not the do-everything professional computer for which most people are looking. As a tablet it will suit everyone who wants a tablet. It’ll please less people who want a versatile computer for an array of professional applications and workflows.
