Using the iPad Pro when you don’t own a TV
I moved to rural Wales some years ago. When I moved, I decided to cut the cord and not have a TV. My partner and I work during the day and, when we’ve finished, we tend to spend a lot of time outdoors. Now it’s winter again, we’re spending the long and dark nights in the house. In such a setting, the iPad Pro I recently (re)purchased has come into its own.
The Screen
I have said previously that I think the iPad Pro screen has one of the most gorgeous screens I have ever set eyes on. I’m no expert in screen tech’, but even I can tell that the screen on the iPad Pro is fundamentally different to anything I have used before. Here’s how Apple markets the screen:
I don’t understand the tech behind it. Suffice to say that the screen achieves deep, deep blacks and can reach tremendous levels of brightness. While this makes it nice to navigate the UI, it means that watching content like movies and TV shows is a joy.
