Thank you for your kind comment, Hans. I'm afraid that the ReMarkable doesn't run a Kindle app. One can send ebooks to the device, but there is no option for apps such as Kindle or Kobo.

You may wish to look at the Kindle Scribe for your needs: the Scribe contains a very good and consistent backlight and will display your Kindle books natively.
