Hi Peter, thanks for your thoughts. You're right that my point of comparison -- Linux -- is perhaps skewing my interpretation of what is happening on MacOS.

I am indeed still using Linux as my daily driver. I am also using Linux on a Surface Go as a tablet, but I'm also dabbling with GrapheneOS on a Pixel Tablet. The Surface Go is struggling on battery.
